Q1 2024 Performance of Top Interactive Story Games on iOS in Australia

Interactive story games have continued to engage audiences in Australia, with significant player activity recorded in the first quarter of 2024. According to Sensor Tower, the top five iOS apps in this genre have shown varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Episode - Choose Your Story started the quarter with a revenue of $32K, which saw a downward trend to about $15K by the end of March. Downloads also followed a decreasing trend from around 4K in the first week of January to 2K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a decline from 11K to 8K in the same period.

Love and Deepspace, a newcomer released in January, saw an impressive revenue peak of about $40K in early February, but ended the quarter at roughly $4K. Downloads spiked at 10K right after release but decreased to 603 by the end of March. Active users peaked at 11K in early March but remained relatively stable around 10K towards the quarter's end.

Crazy Maple Studio's Chapters: Interactive Stories showed revenue beginning at $12K and ending the quarter around $9K. Downloads decreased from 1K to 602, and weekly active users saw a dip from 3.5K to just over 2K.

Fusebox Games' Love Island: The Game saw an upward revenue trend from $3K to $9K. Downloads had a slight increase from 1.1K to 2K, and active users grew from 4.5K to over 7K, indicating a growing interest in the game.

Lastly, MeChat - Interactive Stories experienced a decrease in revenue from $5K to $3K. Downloads peaked at 2.4K in the second week of January but later decreased to 1.5K. Weekly active users started at 4.1K and saw a slight decrease to 3.4K.
